On May 4 of last year I started counting calories and then started doing Yoga. Yoga has made all the difference in the world to me and has completely changed my life. Getting on the mat everyday and setting an intention to improve, helps me stay focused and moving toward my goals. I started at 48 years old and 332 lbs. Now I'm a year older and I'm down to 232 so right at 100 lbs lost. Along the way it stopped being about the number on the scale and more about being mindful about what I was eating and just being healthier. I don't track the calories as strictly as I did before, and I still eat fried chicken once a week, but I got to the studio every day to practice. if you search #mikeliftswhathelost you can see some photos I took along the way lifting the weight I lost. Good luck to everyone trying to lose weight… I know it's not easy but it can be done, one day, one meal, one moment at a time.
